Merriman Capital Acted as Co-placement Agent in Cereplast's $12 Million Private
Placement
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Merriman Capital, Inc., a
wholly owned subsidiary of Merriman Holdings, Inc. (MERR), acted as co-placement
agent in Cereplast, Inc.'s (CERP) $12.3 million private placement of common stock
to several institutional investors. The transaction closed on February 1, 2011.
Cereplast intends to use the proceeds for working capital to fill the company's
rapidly growing order pipeline resulting from new distribution agreements secured
in 2011 in Europe.
