Jane,

I think I agree for the most part. Jesus is distinct as the Son of God. I like the description "firstborn from the dead."

I have heard others say that we should just worship God the Father and not Jesus, but I can't agree with that. I believe Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all to be worshipped, although I think the Spirit seems to be more a participant within us in our worshipping the Father and Son.

Of course, he who hates the Son does hate the Father. Didn't Jesus say that when they showed that they hated Him they were showing that they hated the Father as well?

Ron has an interesting point of view, but one simply must acknowledge the divinity of Jesus or reject Jesus Himself, for He said so much about it. C.S. Lewis said you have three choices: Either Jesus is a liar, a madman, or Who He says He is.

This makes good sense to me.

I agree there needs to be balance and to not distinguish Jesus is also error.

Regards
Barry
