Detroit continues to have an overly large, overly intrusive, and very inefficient government. It also has one of the lowest high school graduation rates, one of the more business hostile bureaucracies. Outside of government it continues to have a declining population, and a general lack of dynamism.

Tell me something I don't know.

Some very small steps have been made to revitalize Detroit......very grass roots and small people motivated:

Its been going on for a few years. There is no guarantee it will succeed but its already bearing fruit......new restaurants and shops are opening up. There is talk of aging landmarks getting restored. Some offices are moving back into the city. Time will tell if it will work. That's what I am looking at.
