Ted, > BTW this elevated terrorist threat is not new. Its been like this for a while.

"Most heightened since 9/11" does not sound like "it's been like this for a while."

Yes, it has. It started last fall. Europe was the first to elevate its terrorist threat and the US followed not too long after Europe. It was in the news.

If this were Bush, he'd be criticized for exaggerating a non-existent threat and trying to grab more power.

Again, because few trusted the Bush gov't.

No one really believes that Obama will be tough on terrorism. Napolitano is under fire for intrusive TSA security measures like naked body scans and touching other people's "junk."

Of course, YOU feel safe as long as a Democrat is in power. Except when a Democrat gets shot. Then it's all about "Save us from those crazy teabaggers!"

I feel safe when I believe I can trust my president. Unfortunately, these days that president tends to be a democrat.

Do something about our party, dude! Its in trouble.
