What I heard today from HP is what I always thought Apple should do and that is fold the mobile and desktop OS into one ie. one OS multiple platforms.

I didn't see the presentation, but do you companies and individuals are going to abandon Windows on the desktop any time soon? It may be the devil but it's the devil everybody knows.
