Verizon iPhone 4 "May Be Quickly Replaced", Not A Good Buy .

The Verizon iPhone 4 will be available for pre-order starting February 3rd for existing customers and February 9th at Verizon corporate stores and Apple stores. So should you get in queue and place your pre-order come February, Consumer Reports doesn't think so.

According to CR, "The Verizon Wireless iPhone 4 has plenty in its favor, especially compared with its AT&T sibling. But it may be quickly replaced by a newer, cooler version more quickly than is customary even for the die-young life expectancy of most smart phones."

Verizon iPhone 4 vs iPhone 5
In case you don't recall, Consumer Reports didn't give the green light to buy for the AT&T iPhone 4 either, citing antenna signal issues as a major concern. While the Verizon iPhone 4 with its CDMA antennas is believed to have solved this death grip issue, CR has still managed to find fault with Apple's latest iPhone.

Nevertheless, we can see where CR is coming from as an AT&T iPhone 5 is rumored to release sometime in June or July. So nothing should be stopping this "newer, cooler version" from making its way to Big Red around the same time either.
