DocStone, Matridigm is a private co which is partly owned be Zitel. Say I own part of Topro, and I don't have any embedded chips business - this doesn't mean that Topro has no such business. Matridigm is real and has Y2K business of which we don't know much because it is a privately owned company and does not report and it's shares don't trade on the exchange. This summer I was in Silicon Valley and saw many Help Wanted ads from Matridigm looking for computer programmers to do Y2K work. But it is true that Zitel has very little (or not at all) Y2K business. Matridigm is a working horse, Zitel is one of the adventurous riders in the cart it pulls.

I always liked Viasoft and Peritus - I believe they are in the first ranks of Y2K players. (Check my post with a link in the clubhouse: first Y2K mutual fund is buying both these cos). And Peritus has systems integration contracts (not embedded chips).

I don't know about AnswerThink - looks like a good mediator.

Anyway this alliance doesn't hurt - it adds to the future. Even if nothing comes out of it - it costs nothing.

Congratulations with your baby's 1 year birthday!

Viktor.
