FYI,
Centura Pro magazine inserted a letter with their latest issue announcing the formation of their 'ProConversion consulting Group'. It's a long letter but I think this is the relavent paragraph:

"Why move to another platform
Althought SQLWindows and Centura Team Developer are excellent tools, the pace of development - and market viability- are both slowing. Relatively few third-party vendors have chosen to create extensions to SQLWindows and Centura Team Developer compared to other development environments. Experienced SAL developers are more difficult to find, and those developers have more difficulty finding work in SAL. A prudent customer must prepare fo the possibility that SAL developer community will one day shrink below critical mass, leaving the customer incapable of meeting present and future development requirements"

Centura must sell itself immediately if they have any hope of salvaging any value from there software assets. Sam Inman is just the lastest in a long string of inept Centura (Gupta) Senior Managers. Hats off to Earl Stahl. Faced with working with these boobs, he has managed to create and maintain a suite of innovative, quality products only to watch them die a slow death at the hands of incompetent management. Earl you deserve a metal! Sam, it's time for you to go!
