>> >What was the iPhone USA market share when the Droid was introduced?

How is that even a relevant question? This is the point I've been making, that fanboyism will mislead you every time. You can't see the facts because you're so enamored with the product.

The question that you should be asking is, "Why is iPhone losing share?" Here is a really important graphic, from Neilsen:

iPhone has a 10-point advantage when its [rabid] users are asked what they'll choose next time. While that may excite you, I find it astonishing that droid users -- many of whom had the droid forced upon them by the lack of availability of the iPhone with their carrier -- now see themselves choosing droid next time around. Put another way, 70% of droid owners are permanently abandoning the iPhone.

These people walked into the phone store WANTING an iPhone and came out with a droid. Now, they will choose droid next time around. Given that iPhone users tend to be higher income and rabid supporters of the product line, it is astounding that there is only a 10-point difference here.
