I-node you or I can manufacture lots of arguments about why Apples "closed" platform should have failed, or should fail in the future, but that one stat, how investors value AAPL, makes the arguments silly. All the hand wringing doesn't amount to anything. Money matters.

Open, closed, upside-down, inside out, it just works. For consumers and (so far) for investors.
