(An entire industry devoted to navigating the labyrinth would be laid low. <g>)

Flat tax is my preferred way to go but, (if the only way to slash the corrupting and counter-productive special interest loopholes is to keep some 'progressivity' in the tax code, some few and compressed rates instead of just one... then I could accept that as well).

Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the merely good. :-)
