Yes, of course.

And yet a large group of people, men and women, smart and stupid, continue to act as if it were not so. I probably should substituted 'won't', or 'don't want to', or 'don't have to' for the word 'can't'. Comes to the same thing. (Elroy's protestations notwithstanding). Or maybe the normal sex outlets are closed off to such a degree that can't is the right word.

Lots of people believe lots of things that can be demonstrated to be not so.
