Y'all ever have one of those prophetic dreams that make you wonder if the hand of God has just touched your mind? Been burning the midnight oil lately, so I took a much-needed nap after today's market close.. I "dreamed" that I was arrested for short-selling the market and that I couldn't get any of the Federal Agents to understand that it was totally legal to short the market.. They even have 3x ETFs for just such an activity (I made good money on TZA and DRV last summer). But couldn't get any of the cops to understand that short-selling is a necessary force in the markets.. That the only time it's evil is when it's NAKED short selling.. Even tried to explain that NSS is tantamount to counterfeiting stock shares.. But to no avail. So here I am, on the lam, trying to avoid my arrest, knowing they are looking for me (I think I had some kind of non-classified data that told me that I had to be short).. They were recording my phone conversations and ultimately that's how they tracked me down (ala: Enemy of the State). So I'm in jail.. trying to get a call to my lawyer, and they tell me that I can't use a phone.. Apparently too much risk that whatever I know will leak out.. So I'm wondering now, in reflection, what it is that I knew that was so important that they had to keep my mouth shut?.. Could it be this?: zerohedge.com Btw.. I'm not short at this time. Strictly invested in energy related stocks for the time being, primarily based on mid-east unease and inflation fears. So.. are we at a point in this market where the Fed has technically made it "illegal" to short the market? Anyone who does so will lose their @ss and be tossed in jail? Market top? Hawk
