Bearded One -

But of course, you can't point to any announcements by anyone about this. And most of the companies who might come up with a competing product have now stated that they will support this one.

Sony is a notable exception, but the Minidisc will certainly not do what Clik! will do. The Minidisk is a magneto-optical device requiring more power, much more complex read/write assemblies, and a lot more space. If Sony were going to put one in a digital camera, I don't think they would have released the Mavica.

No legally binding endorsements? Perhaps not, but letters of intent to license by Matsushita and Citizen are noteworthy.

Bearded One, certainly there's a difference between blind optimism and logical perception, but there's also such a thing as blind pessimism.
