When Bay Networks was down it had losses in one quarter and no earnings in two more quarters. That shure brought the Bay PE down. But its price sales ratio at that time was about where 3Coms price sales ratio is now. And as far as I know 3Com is still a profitable company with pretty good expected earnings growth for the next few years. Therefore 3Coms shares now should be a better buy then Bay shares at their low where. Andreas
