Anyone I know that went spiritually insane for Jesus or Islam or Judaism it was to make up for some past misdeed. They go from one degree of bad to another like a reformed smoker or drinker gaining a 100 pounds. In reality sin never spit them out as much as life did. They were just made wrong and instead of quietly leading by example prefer the way of force. Just thank your lucky stars we live in a society where these moral monsters can still be kept at bay. They did not go to school to become Christ Club Members they decided that God spoke directly to them and for lack of booze, drugs or conscience but mostly weakness never questioned that little voice inside their head. What they really are is quitters.
