To Fellow Threaders including New Lurkers who believe in me:---
(Boy, am I in trouble if AMAT won't go up to the 100s in 1 to 2 years?)
We are in a Global economy. Before, only the Markets in Canada, Japan and in Europe influence our Market. Now even the problems in the Far East, South America and the rest of the smaller countries in the world have a huge impact to us. As our Dollar appreciates against the weaker currencies of smaller countries, we buy cheaper goods from them and take advantage of cheaper labor by relocating and expanding our manufacturing facilities in their folds more and more. The end result is that we produce cheaper goods to be marketed all over the world. The only drawback is that if so much of our manufacturing facilities relocate abroad we may find scores of our people without Jobs.
If we work in manufacturing, we better do something. One way is to Invest, Invest and Invest while we have still the job and money to Invest. Invest for ourselves and for our children. I have shown an example of how a mere 5K can balloon to 100K by investing in AMAT LEAPs. So if we who have a 5 /hour job and work overtime to earn 20K a year, we can set aside 5K in LEAPs and gain in our investment 50K a year; we may even quit our jobs and just work at home watching TV and trading in the Internet! Of course we can not get the same result every year but considering that AMAT can go up 400% from its lows and turn around to Dip 45%, 63%, then we have the volatility needed and all the opportunities to further our aims. We should expect more of these volatility from AMAT year after year as this is a Global company sensitive to events globally. We can count on this excellent company to be in the thick of things in future years to come.
Don't be concerned about the competition in lowering prices of products in the Computer, Networking, Tele-communications , Chips and other sectors that AMAT is involved in. The end result is more work and thus more money for our company. But be prepared for violent Yoyo swings in AMAT since Analysts and Traders have the Worm's-Eye-View of things---looking at one side, either the front, either side or the back. We should view things like the Philippine Monkey-Eating-Eagle's Eye View (an endangered specie that is even bigger than the Bald Eagle)---that can scan all sides over and over again, ready for the Kill!. |
