Fishman: I can't figure Greenspan out. He has lost a lot of credibility IMO. His now famous speech, warning about market exuberance had the opposite affect, and when markets were in great turmoil lately, he mused that we would look back at this "correction" and view it in positive light. (my summary) The correction never happened! Also, his words are not backed up by action, as I have not seen any positive effort by the Fed. Reserve to encourage Central Banks to mantain their gold. His earlier statement can be viewed in the Gold Eagle page.http://www.gold-eagle.com/ in the Green box.

I just wonder how much influence and power he has, and if he is reacting to events like the rest of us, or is he controlling events? Another question, who is controlling the Fed Reserve?

Lots of questions, food for thought. We live in interesting times.

Phil
