Chuckle. Hard to get anything nowadays "Made in Japan".

I ended up sourcing out a mechanical pencil and found the Pentel Kerry 0.5mm. Each is about $15-30 depending on the where you buy it (Grand & Toy charged about $22 or so -- special order). I can go on about the pencil as to the whys I bought it and about 4 others since but the point is ... on the pencil it says "Japan". As rare as the rare earths these days. (Other side says "Kerry Since 1971").

(Yeah, rather anal sometimes on how far I go to buy something ... but most of the time, my energy is well spent)

Some people think things like "power supplies" are trivial but I do find this information very helpful. When you spend upward in the $1000 range for a computer, spending less than $100 for a PSU is foolish. So buying a case without a PSU is actually good - you can then spec out the PSU you want.

Thanks - will make a note of that.

I was mentioning to someone else that it is good sometimes to review machines built by gamers. Not for playing games per se but to see the quality of gear they are using - as a guide to help build yours.
