Tim,

I don't discount your technical analysis, it think it's very thorough and interesting. But since we don't know all the details of what SYSF and PTEC may have under the table that they haven't announced yet, we could get blindsighted by what we see on the surface.

The fact that so many OEMs, and I mean major ones, sign up for SYSF products mean that they know something that we don't know. Why HP, Compac, Intel, ... don't know what PTEC is working on and sign up SYSF instead? PTEC is not even invited to the Intel forum on Sep 24th.

Another thing that I don't agree with you is that System Wiz will solve the problems (software and hardware) locally. If there is no answer because the problem is new (new driver for example), then that's only when it has to dial out for answers. It means that if you buy System Wiz, you don't ever have to worry that it becomes out of date.

In order for SYSF or PTEC to build their knowledge base on all the possible problems, they need to work hand in hand with the software and hardware vendors even before the HW or SW get to the market. It means that both companies need to maintain a very good relationship with the HW and SW vendors. So far, it seems that SYSF handles the marketting and public relation better than PTEC. PTEC used to have a very good relationship with Intel but apparently blew it.

If I am not mistaken, Cybermedia only has product to support Window 95.

I am open to discussions, you know. I am not hard on anything because if I am wrong, I stand to loose my own money. I am currently heavily invested in SYSF. I am still not convinced, and so are the institutions (you know they got all the inside news more than we do), that SYSF is a bad company.

Mike.
