Maybe not, but Vin wasn't in the same position at TXN (to my knowledge).. also when he left Intel, Intel was doing well and people who were capable WANTED to work for Intel. AMD is in a very different position than either of the two companies you mentioned. AMD will have a hard time replacing Vin with someone of even close to his caliber (since Cyrix/NSM, IDTI, INTC, etc. are all looking for people)..
