Now I didn't say that the continents were leveled. I said we have no idea how high the mountains were at the time of the flood. I did imply that mountains could grow at a much faster rate than they do today, if the plates were more active. I stand by that.

If infallibility means, as you link, means "a sure, safe and reliable rule and guide in all matters", combined with inerrancy's being "true and trustworthy in all its assertions", emphasis on all, there is not much room to claim the flood as being either prehistoric or incomplete.

I don't disagree, except to note that human history could span as much as 25 thousand years with much of that history completely unknown to us. I simply disagree with you that a world wide flood has been disproved by the objections you have raised. As I said previously: the central miracle of the bodily resurrection of Jesus from the dead is what Christians focus on. If that proves to be true then the claims of Jesus are validated, including His claims to Divinity and His affirmation of the Old Testament as the word of God.
