What exactly do you love about Max OS X, because I just don't see it? I find the simplicity to be a hindrance. I cannot customize it the way I can Windows 7 or Ubuntu. The UI seems like it was made for children appearance wise. That's funny, I've always heard Windows referred to as the "Fisher Price UI." Overall though I believe you're right, OS X doesn't let you tweak as much of the UI's appearance as Windows does. At least not with the built-in stuff. What is it precisely that you'd like to do that you can't?
