I enjoy putting the things together, but the main reason I do it is...I can choose exactly what components I want. I think there's some advantage to doing a little research about the reliability and performance of each component. I like quality components...but I'm also the kind of person who tries to wait until the case, motherboard..HD..memory.. processor..or video card are on sale. I'm a cheapo. Sometimes it takes me a couple of months just buying the hardware that I want.
