Their success is a function of the inability of conservative thinkers to usurp the debate instead of allowing the phony "for the children" canard to be trumpeted by the left. And that is only one example.

I know I sound like a broken record, but conservatives need to front run the debate in the court of public opinion and stop allowing the opposition to define them and place them on defense. It is really not that hard to do; but people take the criticism too much to heart.
