The point is not that Postgres is available. The point is that whatever is available, 10x that choice, or 100x, is available for Windows. And that makes a difference to developers. More developers means more software, more software means more options for consumers, etc. It may be that the Mac will eventually make it to critical mass outside the home computing environment but it is not there and not even close at this point.
