That acknowledges that US statutory tax rates are high by international standards. The article fails to point out that accelerated depreciation and other deductions are timing items which temporarily defer taxes not eliminate them. I think your source is trying to deceive not educate.

Why don't they mention that most major countries have similar accelerated depreciation provisions? comparativetaxation.treasury.gov.au

Well, thats another reason to conclude their purpose is deception.
