i have optimum online. i tried to put an aol cd on -

(my adobe, wordperfect, timeslips, quicken, omnipage, even paperport-scansoft (which came with my old dell multi-function printer), astra scan and numerous other cds could not be installed - don't work with windows 7. check computer system info to see if i need an x86 (32 bit) or x64 (64 bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher. adobe acrobat has known problems with windows. check windows for solutions. i checked. windows has no solution - but will notify me when it has one. i had been able to use acrobat on xp but not on vista - got same story on vista. i got download for dell printer - it prints - but doesn't scan - and i got message paperport didn't install.) my software is a few years old - time flies. it is sufficient for me - i don't need the improvements - except acrobat newer versions are much better. also i had word, etc. fairly current - but no discs - and much other software - no disks. my son must eat them. dragon dictate and many others. it will be expensive to buy all this software. but i need much of it. quicken makes me buy every 3 years or i can't send checks through quicken. i don't use any of the "improvements".

so i downloaded aol desktop 10.1. i can log on with aol. but, i find aol desktop and shortcut. but as i said no program data folder leading to aol and no organize folder.

(also i have to copy links - i can't click on them.)
