Just read some of the nonsense linked to on this thread ... I usually don't bother correcting some sites (they are almost always wrong), but ...

The ISM employment index is a diffusion index. It is based on the number of companies hiring and firing each month.

The high ISM employment index this morning means a large percentage of manufacturing companies were hiring in February ... it doesn't say anything about the current level of unemployment. Someone is confusing stock and flow ...

Also ISM is a private organization and calling them a "US Department" is absurd.
