All time high was 5.71, spring of '06, it was only intra-day and closed 4.30ish if memory serves, and the previous day's high hadn't been much over 4.00 ... i recall the high clearly though, saw the 5.71 as h.o.d. when logging on and the stock was back in the 4.70s or so, not likely to forget some of it because of memorable events in real life that week ... reason it was so volatile at that point was Hommel was doing an outright religious preach on it, amazing stuff, all about the old direct-shipping ore, with lots of arm waving ... didn't hurt that silver had just ramped over previous months to the fantastic heights of about half what it is today, plus zinc was in full roll of its own cycle, on the way to double what it is today
All time low is .11, still visible on stockcharts' galleryview page ... i caught much of that day, saw one or two prints of .11 but it seemed to spend most of the time a penny either side of .13, i got .13s and .14s, partial fill on .12s if memory serves ... got .15s the next day after scraping up cash in other accts ... sold some of the wife's dmm.to for a triple or so since her buy the december before, to get her mmg .15s, these two shs and ml.to did the heavy lifting starting her rrsp out of the '08 crash hole that my frozen stiff approach had gotten it into ... she still doesn't know how bad it got, no point in stirring up trouble i figure, lol
But that's a cyclical business for you eh, they're in fashion or they're right out ... with some exceptional luck we could see zinc heading into its next wave as well, before the end of Time, this would require enough economic stability that people start building again, and the chinese learn to galvanise steel, probably too much to ask for at this point ... for now, silver gives us a few-bagger |
