And he [Daley] blasted a teachers’ union he argued was more concerned about pay than in taking responsibility for educating the less well off... I just heard that the health insurance program for Washington State teachers costs the state $200,000,000 per year. The program has Ninety (that's 90) separate health care plans to choose from. Estimates are that the state could save $90,000,000 annually by going to a system that offered health insurance through a single provider. Will they do it? Noooooooo.
