S&P is trading at an important level. If it holds the current level of 1310, then I expect it will resume the uptrend soon. Otherwise, this correction may turn into a bit scary route.

AMD is trading strongly in the context of the broader market. The shortage of Zacate serves as yet another indicator that Dirk Meyer was too conservative. Besides the graphics business, this may be another lost opportunity to make it big.

I bought two e-350 mini-iTX boards so far. The first one is an ASRock board, which is put into a Habey nettop for media playback. The box has 2GB DRAM, 320GB WD Scorpio Black 7200rpm HDD. The box draws 24W from the wall in idle, while using 28W playing back a video stream. The second board is the Asus mini-iTX with passive heatsink for another HTPC. The box has 2GB DRAM and 60GB SSD. Haven't benchmark this yet. Overall, I like E-350 in a nettop setup. I wish the idle power would be a little lower and the CPU power would be 25% higher. If AMD takes care of that in the next release using 28nm or 32nm, I expect this class of fusion will find many many places.

AAPL iPad2 is out. And it supports my stated view that AAPL is and will be the sole winner of pad vendors. At $499, you have to be an AAPL hater if you buy a pad other than iPad.

I think dollar is at a critical juncture. If it does not hold at the current level. We will be in big trouble anyhow anyway. I expect dollar to rebound soon.
