It occurs to me that MMG just announced a new CEO with some good credentials that read “Mr. Barry has over 15 years of exploration and management experience. He has worked as a consulting geologist on projects in Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Mongolia and West Africa and has significant experience with Metalline's field operations in Africa. Mr. Barry served as the chief geologist for Dome Ventures Corporation (merged with Metalline in April, 2010) and also served on Dome's Board of Directors. Mr. Barry has managed Metalline's operations at the Sierra Mojada project since September 2010. Mr. Barry is a registered geologist (MAusIMM) who obtained his BSc in Geology from the University of Otago in New Zealand.”

Then they in the same breath announce a new member to the Board of Directors with good credentials that read “Dr. Adshead-Bell is President of Cupel Advisory Corp. a private company providing advisory services for mining/exploration companies and investment funds. Dr. Adshead-Bell was Managing Director, Investment Banking, where she focused on mergers and acquisitions in the mining and exploration sector, at Haywood Securities Inc. from February 2007 to July 2010. Prior to joining Haywood she held positions as a sell and buy side mining analyst with Dundee Securities Corporation and Sun Valley Gold LLC where she focused on uranium/base metals and precious metals, respectively. Between 1995 and 2003 she worked as a consultant geologist for Australian and Canadian companies. Dr. Adshead-Bell has a Ph.D. in geology from James Cook University, Queensland, Australia.

Then a day later they make this announcement: “VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Metalline Mining Company (TSX:MMZ.to - News) ("Metalline") advises that two technical reports concerning its Sierra Mojada Project, Mexico are currently being prepared for publication this month.
In April, 2010, Metalline merged with Dome Ventures Corporation. Since that time, numerous Board and management changes have been made and new management has been reviewing all aspects of the Sierra Mojada Project.
Metalline has retained Nilsson Mine Services Ltd. to prepare a new NI43-101 technical report on part of the shallow silver zone (called Area A) on Metalline's Sierra Mojada Project that was drilled during 2009/2010. Metalline expects to receive and release this report later this month. The planned 2011 exploration program provides for drilling the Northern and Eastern extension of the Area A silver zone.
Metalline has also retained JDS Energy & Mining Inc. to prepare a contemporary report summarizing all known data concerning the zinc oxide deposit present at the Sierra Mojada Project. Metalline expects to receive and release this report later this month.”

Then there is the name change thing to put “Silver” into the company name….

So they have now shown the addition of a couple of good people more than familiar with the MMG industry and the finance side, then they go along to prepare the community for an upcoming announcement(s) to build interest and get attention. Sort of makes me think those announcements are going to be pretty exciting versus a “ho hum” experience? Maybe even that they’re going to shout from the roof tops that “Hey! We have a shitload of Silver here! Listen UP!”

Makes sense to me, if “ho hum experience” was on tap, why preload the coming announcements?
