Did you notice Salazar waited until he was finished on the hill with congress before they made an announcement that they had decided to fight the ruling? Underhanded pricks - LOL

I'm convinced this government wants higher energy prices to help green technologies become more competitive. Also, haven't heard Obama scolding the big bad oil companies from raping and pillaging the American public with high prices.

Feds challenge court order to decide on deep-water permits

Well, so much for permits coming soon.

"In its legal filing with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana tonight, the federal government says Feldman’s directive will actually harm “the efficient development of oil and gas resources on the outer continental shelf,” by disrupting work at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement that oversees offshore drilling."

"The ocean energy bureau has identified flaws with six of them and returned those proposals to operators for revision. For example, the government said, bureau officials have exchanged a permit application with Cobalt Energy application “multiple” times already, trying to refine the document. The bureau also has had several face-to-face meetings with ATP to discuss one of its applications."
