I can do that with my own servers at unicus.com. If I give a image a name, I just upload a new file using FTP Pro with the exact name, over writing the old file and the new image will appear.
With Screencast.com, you can't change the image you upload, to my knowledge. You can delete it, at any time, but I have not found a way to change the image on screencast without loosing the url.
Having your own FTP server is really good, cause you have so much control over it, but...
I find it faster to use Screencast.com servers, casue they are tied in with Jing, so I don't bother using my own servers anymore. Faster using Screencast.
Also, using Screencast now, you can share via, RSS, Facebook, and Twitter, along with many other goodies. I can't do that with my own servers.
So each has it's own benefits.
For me Screencast.com is the superior product for images, audio and video. |
