It would be arrogant of me, to have an opinion about how the Tibetans should rule themselves. And it is arrogant of you, and that arrogance leads you to justify crimes, when you presume you know better than the Tibetans, what Tibetan society should or should not be.

Prophetic words. Israel is hated by all its neighbors, for its violent colonization of Palestine; China is deeply distrusted by all its neighbors, because they see the violent colonization of Tibet, and wonder if they are next, when China replaces the U.S. as the Global Hegemon. Neither China nor Israel have been good neighbors, and there is a steep price to pay for this.
Again: the Age of Colonialism (1492-1914) is over. Of the 200 or so nations on earth, only Chinese, Americans, and Israelis don't understand this. Continue on the path your nation is on, and you'll have to learn this lesson the hard way (like Japan and Germany 1936-1945). |
