I won't deny that your observation is accurate, John. I don't know if it's an effect of being part of the indices. Does program trading necessarily affect these stocks more than others? I don't know.

It would be nice to see the mid 40's and a break-out. The overall trend still looks upward and positive. There really isn't tremendous news in this sector other than acquisitions and divestitures to power a rally.

This is the boring world of stable stocks. Dallas Semiconductor is one of the few techs that seems to move with as great a stability. DS has a nice niche in an otherwise volatile area. Good for shareholders I believe in the long run.
