First of all.. the only reason that any Arab country currently exists is because of the sacrifice of hundreds of thousands of British and French lives in defeating the Ottoman Empire. Secondly, the Jews were granted the ability to purchase unoccupied land in Palestine. Land not inhabited by Arabs living there. It was called the Yishuv. Arabs resented Jews living on land that was under "Dar Al Islam", unoccupied or not.. They believe that once land is conquered in the name of Islam, it can never be surrendered. Btw, this applies to Xinjiang province as well. To Muslims, China is occupying Muslim land and they will wage Jihad until China is defeated and surrenders it back into the hands of Islam. Thirdly, there is no such ethnic group or nationality known as "Palestinians". Even Palestinians consider themselves to be Arabs. There is no distinct Palestinian language. or even culture. It is just a geographical reference to Arabs that live in the area the Romans called Syria Palestinia (in order to wipe out all reference to Judea): en.wikipedia.org In sum, the real reason that Israel is constantly at war with the majority of it's Arab neighbors is due to this Muslim influence that forbids surrendering Islamic land to non-Muslims. It's why Sadat was assassinated for making peace with Israel, and why King Abdallah II is also at risk of such assassination. Thus, the real intolerance in that part of the world is not just on the part of the Jews. The majority would, IMO, be happy to make peace within current borders, but the Arabs in the region are unwilling to even recognize their existence. China had no right to annex Tibet.. No more right than they would have in annexing Vietnam or Japan. The Tibetans don't want the Chinese in their country and very few nations have acknowledged the legitimacy of China's annexation. Certainly no more right than the Mongols of Mongolia would have in asserting that China was part of Mongolia. And again.. as for the Israelis.. they are just one more nation/state carved out of an empire that was defeated at the expense of British and French blood and treasure. It's called "spoils of war"..
