You asked "what is condensate" Condensate is a very high grade of oil that separates from gas as it leaves the formation. Mostly colorless. Condensate requires very little refining before it is made into gasoline. As a result condensate brings a few dollars more per barrel than crude. When I was in college we sometimes used condensate (called drip gas then)in our cars in place of gasoline. It served the purpose as a lessor grade of gasoline and we could get it for nothing at the well head.
