However, he got an honorary degree from another university obviously.

No honorary degrees is an MIT tradition going back to ... Thomas Jefferson

I was wrong on my ASSumption. However, he got an honorary degree from another university obviously.

Being wrong on my ASSumption though is one thing. At least I didn't state is as a fact and misquote him or anybody else.

Example...

It's blatantly obvious that he got his honorary PhD from MIT.

Re: grantg2 post# 95397 Post # of 95449

Perhaps it had something to do with his supposed honorary degree grantg2? Did you ever retract this statement? :

Quote:
JB is not called Dr. because his degree is HONORARY...
(Post #: 22544)

And I know this one wasn't you, but you can see where the perception is going (like shaping a snowball and rolling it down a hill):

Quote:
It's blatantly obvious that he got his honorary PhD from MIT.
(Post #: 22565)

In all fairness, there were a few who tried to set the record "straighter"

So how can you say who exactly called/contacted? Think this is just like the DEC inundation that many posts attributed to "antagonists."

Didn't we eventually get a few long confession-like posts that seemed to have been over-zealously pressing DEC employees for more information?
