Traffic through the Internet facilities is doubling every six months and, as a result, there is a bandwidth bottleneck which is

requirements. Different applications need to be assigned different classes of service and treated accordingly in terms of quality
of service (QoS) guarantees, commented Subhash Roy of TranSwitch Corp. who will be the moderator for the seminar.

The panel will discuss issues related to guaranteeing QoS over the Internet. The issues to be addressed include:

-- ATM vs. I.P. in Internet backbone from the point of

cost/performance including QoS.

Effect of Access Protocol on QoS.
Should QoS concept be extended to access points or even to

terminations?

-- Others
