I agree 100%!

The only big risk we face with buying the tiny ones when low is they get taken out by private equity or a bigger fish below what we pay OR they go under.

Options can expire worthless while we can wait another cycle.

Also, I've found I can often make good money trading the volatility near the top where I try to only buy back one batch of shares after a pullback in case that becomes the next down cycle. That is make the next buy far lower and near major support. A couple of good trades can pay for the shares bought back too early.
