OK here are the highlights:
1) They are now a real company with product shipping, not a development stage company. They have shipped 60 test kits already which are under evaluation.
2) Their product, Telecom 2000, won Best-of-Show award at the recent Computer Telephony expo.
3) The recently hired former sales exec at Cisco sounded very impressive. This guy doesn't leave Cisco for E-net unless he truly believes that E-net is going to be a force in the data telephony business. By the way, E-net has the trademark on the term "Data Telephony".
4) Their so-called competitors such as Netspeak and Vocaltec, while good companies with good products according to Veschi, do not offer the same quality of product that E-net offers, as evidenced by a conversion of some of their customers over to E-net's architecture recently. He expects more of them to choose E-net.
5) They will enforce any infringements on their patents.
6) Telecom 2000's market is vast, from the individual desktop PC user to home/small business to the largest multinational corporation in the world. E-net is talking to cable modem manufacturers and PC manufacturers, networkers, etc., about possible relationships including OEM relationships. Veschi mentioned that he envisions one day consumers buying "Data Telephony-ready multimedia PC's", where one of E-net's cards comes installed already in the PC from the manufacturer. Wow!!!
7) THEY WILL PARTICIPATE IN COMDEX STARTING MONDAY WITH A NEW "PARTNER". Veschi said he could not say who it was until the show started. Hmmm,,,,,this could really be big. In fact, anything less than an earth-shattering announcement would be disappointing based upon how confident these guys were during the conference call.
Obviously, there is a lot more to report but thats about all I can type for now,,,,,I've got a screaming kid on my back!!!
Good Luck to all!
