QRS SAMPLES UP TO 3,040 G/T SILVER AT THE JUDITH PROJECT, MEXICO THUNDER BAY, ON, March 8 /CNW/ - QRS Capital Corp. (the "Company") (TSX.V: QRS) is pleased to announce that ongoing channel and grab sampling has identified additional high-grade silver and gold surface mineralization at the Judith Project.
Highlights of sampling program include a 3,040 grams per tonne silver grab sample and a 3.79 grams per tonne gold channel sample over 4 meters.
A regional exploration program is currently being carried out on the Judith property and sampling was carried out over a 1km² area of known mineralization.
Currently, trench and tunnel sampling are targeting the north-east vein (1 to 1.5 metres widths) which has now been traced at surface and underground over a 500 metres strike length.
Additional high-grade results were obtained from a Catherine wheel vein structure, located perpendicularly to the north-west.
Details of recent assay results from surface and underground samples are set out in the table below:
Sample Number Silver (g/t) Gold ( g/t) Width ( m) 696523 3,040 0.010 grab 696516 288 0.142 0.80 696526 188 3.79 Channel 4m 696552 186 1.83 1.80 696518 184 3.35 0.80 696548 180 2.14 1.0 696531 138 0.536 Channel 4m 696541 62.1 0.967 Channel 4m 696532 120 1.070 Channel 4m 696527 105 0.746 Channel 4m
Further sampling of these veins, their extensions and the intervening wall rocks will take place in the following period of field work. This information will be used as "prima facie" material for the planning of a proximal drill program.
ABOUT JUDITH PROJECT The project comprises six mineral concessions covering 554 hectares. The vein system is hosted by multiphase sequences of Precambrian metamorphic covered by a "flysh" through a tectonic contact. The "flysh" contains the major part of the mineralization. Volcanic sedimentary rocks and limestones complete the series, and some riolitic dikes are intruding this last geological formation.
This system appears to be open space filling during a major structural event. The main structure is trending north-northeast 40 degrees, dipping southwest and intersected by a secondary structural axis northwest 50 degrees, dipping northeast. Mineralization consists of silver, lead and zinc with gold, barium, fluoride and copper oxides and sulphides.
The above information has been prepared under the supervision of Michel Rowland, member of the AUSIMM (Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy), who is designated as a qualified person as defined by NI 43-101 with the ability and authority to verify the authenticity and validity of the data.
ABOUT QRS CAPITAL CORP. QRS is a mineral exploration company focused on the exploration and development of economically viable base and precious metal projects throughout South America.
