Paul,
If you are in Deswell for the long term, I expect it to perform well. Short term the Asian situation and Iraq could help put pressure on an already weak stock market, and the strong employment #'s aren't helping either. The good news about the Asian situation, is that when a market crashes so severely the downside only last 2-3 months before the first strong rebound occurs. Deswell should vastly outperform the market when the rebound occurs due to strong earnings and revenue acceleration, unless someone knows that their business is falling through the floor.
I imagine Deswell should hold up over 17 barring more than 10% more downside in Hong Kong and should run once it crosses the 20 border with slight resistance at 21 and a decent amount of resistance in the 22 to 22-1/2 range. After that it could easily run all the way to 25 or 30 without any resistance. The # of stocks with over $2.00 in earnings in the last 12 months and a 20-25% growth rate still trading under $20 can probably be counted on one hand, if not one finger. It may not perform, but I would love to have a basket of 10 such stocks.
Richard
