I agree. Holding an index fund is one thing, but investing in tobacco is where I hit my personal limit. I am OK investing in a lot of not-so-good things: junk food, companies that import almost everything from China, where labor standards are marginally acceptable, at best, nuclear energy, alcohol, etc. I just draw the line at tobacco. That's just me, and I understand people who do not have the same aversion to tobacco stocks. It's just that I do.
