TAN (solar ETF), gapped down below its 200dma today. Now 18% below last month's high. Although I've said before, solars are a buy when TAN is below $8, I'm not buying anything yet. There are just too many macro risks; a list of things I can think of, would push TAN down to its lows of last June ($6.00), or even the 2009 lows ($4.63). I am firmly in "watch and wait" mode. Disclosure: no positions in solars; wishing I had shorted them last month, when I seriously thought about it, but didn't act.
