Oil molecules dispersed in shales measure .5nm to 3 nm. Folks just are not functioning with proper understanding of the dynamic process that laid the oil particulants out for the shales to accumulate.

This accounts for the historical mis reporting of recoverable oils from shales. if the understanding of nucleation isnt in the equation, the source quoted, is misreporting by way of ignorance, or malfeasance, the source/process, thereby improperly characterizing oils actual formation metrics.

because we retain a relation with RO/RS=CF always....the sources of the information must be properly characterized down to the compartment level.
