Ten, If we covered all the roofs in the southwest with photovoltaics, it would go a LONG way toward meeting our non-transportation energy needs. It's one of those things that NEEDS government, like building interstate highways.

If gas goes to $5 a gallon here, you'll see some dramatic changes in how we get around, maybe as dramatic as when we went from horses to cars. Electric vehicles will become MUCH more popular!
I'm already seeing the prices of small, efficient used cars being bid up here. People will be willing to trade an Escalade for a Honda Civic!
