In my opinion the whole exercise is about parlaying money into political power.
Since the Citizens United case the floodgates have been opened.
The choice of who holds political office is now up for bids.
They are now realizing that there are tons of Americans who are as dumb as stumps who will believe any lie Faux news tells them.
They will also believe the political ads. If you tell these dumb people enough times who to vote for they will do it. It's like Pavlov's dogs on a large scale.

So the issue is how much influence can be bought by the Koch brothers, and others like them.

I think you are deliberately playing dumb.
